# Pictures and video

Pictures go in a Pictures block, behind a Heading and button block's words, on a product, or behind the whole site. miow keeps every picture in its own store, so a site never depends on another website's files.

## How do I add a picture?

1. Add a Pictures block, or click an empty one.
2. Press "Choose a picture, or drop one here", or drag a file onto it.
3. Fill in "Describe the picture for people who can't see it", which screen readers read aloud and search engines index.

A picture can be up to 10 MB. SVG files are refused. Add pictures beside it, in a row turns the block into a row the visitor scrolls sideways.

## How do I put a video on a page?

In a Text block, press Video, post or map in the formatting bar, paste the address of the video, and press Embed.

## Can I put a picture behind the whole site?

Yes. Click the page's background, outside any block, and press Add a picture behind the site. Every page then scrolls over it.
