A miow site starts on miow.me's home page, which opens an editor on a draft of a whole site. Nothing is saved until you press Publish, and publishing is when you save the passkey that makes the site yours.

Which kind of site should I start from?

The tabs over the draft read Shop, Portfolio, Wiki and Blank, and Shop opens first. Each of the first three is a whole site of its kind under a made-up name, with pages, pictures and a look to change as you go; Blank is one empty page. Switching tabs after you have changed something asks first, because the draft goes.

How do I change the draft?

Click any words on the page and type. The icons down the page's left edge open its tools, each naming itself as you point at it: Pages, where you open each page or press Add a page; This page, for its title, search snippet and place in the menu; and Style, Colour, Type and Header, for the site's look. On a phone the icons sit in a row along the foot of the screen, and the tool you open rises over the page. Change the words and Colours and fonts cover both.

How do I publish it?

  1. Press Publish.
  2. Type your name in "Your name, for the passkey that keeps the site yours".
  3. Press Save a passkey and publish, and let your phone or computer save the passkey with your face, fingerprint or screen lock.

The site is then live at its miow address, such as yourbusiness.miow.me, and you change it from miow.me/edit. If you already have a passkey from another miow site, press Sign in in the same form instead, and the new site joins your others. Publishing accepts miow's terms and privacy policy.

Does it cost anything?

Not for the first 14 days. After that hosting is paid monthly; see Pay for hosting.
