Building a website with an AI agent
miow runs an MCP server at miow.me/mcp, through which an AI agent such as Claude makes a small-business website, writes its pages, moves an existing site in and puts it on its owner's domain. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the standard way an AI agent uses outside tools: the agent connects to a server once, then calls its tools as it works.
Which website builder can an AI agent build and edit through MCP?
miow is one. An agent connected to miow.me/mcp makes a site with no account and no key, writes every page, and each page is live at the site's own address on miow.me as soon as the write lands.
Zarla and 8B also run MCP servers for building websites; the comparison below says how the three differ.
How do I connect Claude to miow?
Add https://miow.me/mcp to Claude as a remote MCP server. In Claude Code the command is claude mcp add --transport http miow https://miow.me/mcp.
Then ask it to build a website for your business. miow's instructions tell the agent to ask what the business offers, where and when, and how customers reach it, and to use only what you tell it.
What can an agent do with a miow site?
An agent can make a site, write and delete its pages, rename it, change its look and its header, copy in images, move an existing Squarespace or Wix site in, read its visitor numbers, and put it on a domain the owner already has.
miow records every write in the site's history, marked as an agent's. The agent can undo a change, and so can the owner, under History on the owner page.
Who owns a website an agent makes?
Whoever opens its claim link. When the agent makes a site, miow hands it a claim link to pass on, and opening that link on a phone saves a passkey that makes that person the owner; a site nobody claims is deleted after seven days.
To let an agent work on a site you already own, make it a token under Agents on the owner page. Revoking the token there shuts the agent out.
How does miow compare with Zarla and 8B?
All three let an agent build a website from a chat. They differ in how the agent signs in, what it makes, and when the site goes live. The Zarla and 8B entries come from their own pages, read in October 2026.
| miow | Zarla | 8B | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Server | miow.me/mcp, 12 tools | zarla.com/api/mcp, 37 tools | mcp.8b.com/mcp |
| Sign-in | None to start; a site token after that | OAuth, in the browser | None |
| What it makes | A hosted site of as many pages as it needs | A hosted site, with products, orders and SEO tools | A one-page site or landing page, as one HTML file to download |
| When it goes live | At each write | Edits wait in a draft until the agent is asked to publish | It does not host or publish the site |
| Price | Free to build; hosting is a monthly price miow sets for each site | Free to build; publishing from US$29 a month, or US$10.99 a month paid 36 months upfront | Free; publishing through 8B's own builder is US$9 a month, billed yearly |
8B's page says its server is not for sites of several pages or for changing a site that already exists elsewhere. miow's agent can move an existing site in and keep working on it.
